Kid with tools Outer Banks Design Works is a modern design company with more than 10-years of industry experience in the fields of Graphic Design & Illustration, Printing & Signmaking, and Web Design & Development Services. Our primary offering is accessible, content-focused Web design, but we also understand the importance of brand and how your “look and feel” plays into any advertising endeavor.

Consistent Design Services

Consistency is our most notable asset. Our focus consists of three distinct but complimentary design disciplines:

    1. Interface Design: We design and implement XHTML and CSS templates built using W3C recommendations, or “Web standards”.
    2. Website Redesign: we can help to repurpose your existing website into a lean, mean and accessible standards-based site that also looks great to most modern search engines.
    3. Web Applications: Whether it be a community site, an intranet/extranet application, or a simple customization of popular open source software initiatives (like WordPress, OSCommerce, and CMSMadeSimple,) we’ve got you covered. We can also provide custom programming services in languages such as PHP, Perl, or Java.
    4. Consulting Services: Get experienced answers to questions regarding CSS, XHTML, Accessibility, Semantics, Code Optimization, and Structure.

    1. Iconography/Illustration: We create beautiful, subtle icons for both Web and Print using rich metaphors for easy recognition. We also provide custom illustration services and hand-drawn typefaces to add that “little something extra” to your projects.
    2. Advertising & Promotional Materials: We design and provide flyers, posters, letterhead, business cards, brochures, tradeshow displays, etc. All of those things. We will even work closely with your preferred vendors or recommend them as necessary.
  3. * Brand
    1. Logo Concept: The logo sets the tone for a business in so many subtle ways that many are often missed. We provide direction and planning services that will allow your logo to be your silent business partner.
    2. Direct Marketing & Analysis: Face it; we all tend to throw away those terrible little promotional items we get in the mail. We will help you retain your customer’s attention with thoughtful, carefully-designed marketing pieces. Think of all the trees you will help save.
